The Douglas Indian Association (DIA) is generously offering grant funds for tuition and certain other fees, for eligible children to attend classes at JDT. Students age 5-18, enrolled in one or more JDT classes for fall semester, and who are Alaska Native, Native American, or Native Hawaiian, are encouraged to apply for funding. If your child is not yet age 5, but is otherwise eligible, you may still submit an application for consideration, though funding is not guaranteed. The current funding period is for JDT's FALL semester: August 17-December 17. Application deadline is August 21. Submit completed applications to JDT.

Step 1: Enroll for JDT's fall semester. Use coupon code DIAPENDING at checkout.

Step 2: Submit your completed DIA Student Services application, to JDT, no later than August 21. Email to jdtoffice@juneaudance.org, or deliver a hard copy to the JDT office at 8420 Airport Blvd. Ste. 202.

Step 3: Attend JDT fall classes. Should funding not be approved, make tuition payment arrangements with the JDT office.

Juneau Dance Theatre values its community partnerships and collaborations. We have been fortunate to collaborate with many arts organizations over the years; and even during the pandemic, we were pleased to join forces with Juneau Alaska Music Matters (JAMM).

Such partnerships help us reach more children with our programming, affording more opportunities to participate, grow and learn. JDT recently sponsored a series of movement tutorials, taught by Janice Hurley, for JAMM's Virtual Classroom.

Do you have a young dancer, but you're not sure if they are ready for class? We invite you to try our video classes for young dancers. Video classes are provided free of charge, however we welcome donations of any amount (suggested $10 per one-hour class). A link to donate can be found below. Thank you for your support!
