Guest Faculty - Summer Intensive 2016, 2022
Originally from Mt. Holly, Pennsylvania, Leslie Hench was one of Marcia Dale Weary’s first students at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB). Leslie also studied at the School of American Ballet in New York City before moving to London and dancing professionally with Harlequin Ballet. When she returned to the United States, Leslie began teaching at CPYB and remained on faculty there for 35 years. She trained and coached numerous dancers that went on to enjoy successful professional ballet careers, such as Ashley Bouder (current Principal with NYCB), Abi Stafford (former Principal with NYCB), Jon Stafford (current Artistic Director, NYCB), Noelani Pantastico (former Principal, PNB), Ethan Stiefel (former Principal, ABT; current Artistic Director ARB), and many, many more. In 2015, Leslie opened her own school - Ribbon Mill Ballet - in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where she continues to train dancers through small classes and individualized coaching sessions.
