Adult Summer Session

Join us for our Adult Summer Session, July 14-31. Recommended for students 16+. Experienced dancers age 14+ may also attend.

Registration Options:
  • Register for the full summer schedule (biggest savings);
  • Register for a punch card; good for any 10 punch card eligible classes, year-round;
  • Use your existing punch card (registration not required); or
  • Show up and pay the drop-in rate of $20, per class (registration not required).
Class Descriptions

Ballet (Georgie): 7/14, Georgie is excited to return to Juneau and teach this intermediate/advanced level class focusing on refining technique, and enjoying movement. Dancers should expect a normal ballet class format that is challenging but fun. This is an intermediate-advanced class; dance experience strongly encouraged.

Ballet (Anna): 7/21, 7/30, Feel good ballet class for a good sweat with a focus on artistry and expression. This is an intermediate-advanced class; dance experience strongly encouraged.

Ballet (Michelle): 7/28, A classical ballet class building strength, technique, and grace through barre and center work. This is an intermediate-advanced class; dance experience strongly encouraged.

Barre (Deb): 7/16, 7/23, This ballet inspired full body barre workout utilizes classical ballet, Pilates, yoga and stretching to strengthen and lengthen muscles while developing balance and core strength. No dance experience required. All levels are welcome.

Classic & Contemporary Jazz (Hali): 7/15, Explore the foundations of jazz dance through both classic and contemporary styles. This high-energy class emphasizes technique, musicality, and expression, blending traditional jazz vocabulary with modern influences.

Commercial Dance Choreography (Hali): 7/29, This class focuses on the dynamic and trend-driven world of commercial dance. Students will learn choreography influenced by pop culture, with an emphasis on style, versatility, and stage presence. Clean studio sneakers recommended.

Contemporary (Michelle): 7/22, Explore fluid movement, dynamic choreography, musicality, and grounded contemporary technique. This is an intermediate-advanced level class; prior dance experience strongly encouraged.

Contemporary (Viktor): 7/24, 7/31, This class will explore dynamic movement, floorwork, and improvisation, challenging dancers to move with athleticism and artistry. Emphasis is placed on musicality and expression. This is an intermediate-advanced level class; prior dance experience strongly encouraged.

Musical Theatre Dance (Kelsey): 7/17, This class is for students 12+ of any level wanting to get moving with some musical theatre magic! Kelsey Riker will lead students in a stretch, the learning or exercising of some common musical theatre dance steps, all culminating in a combination. Jazz shoes, character shoes, or dance sneakers are recommended but not required.

Tap – Intermediate/Advanced Tap (Kelsey): 7/17, This class is for students with a solid grasp of the basics. Kelsey Riker will lead students through a warm-up, technical exercises, and a short combination. Students 12+, tap shoes strongly recommended.

Theatre Jazz (Hali): 7/23, Step into the spotlight with Theatre Jazz, where storytelling meets stylized movement. Students will build performance skills while learning choreography inspired by Broadway and musical theatre traditions. Character shoes optional.
