Contemporary Dance Instructor
Viktor Bell has danced as long as he can remember, and loves everything about it, from the first moment of class, to the final bow after a performance. He came to JDT after graduating from a rigorous dance training institute in Ukraine, where he studied styles such as contemporary, modern, jazz, tap, and more. While attending dance training, he had the opportunity to perform in Italy, Greece, Poland, and other countries, as a member of the Light Dance Company. Viktor is an alumnus of the Galen Hooks Method, and admires Hooks as one of the best choreographers of her generation. In addition to teaching at JDT, Viktor teaches private contemporary classes at his home studio, Alaskan Light. He continues to further his own studies, as a JDT Level 6 Company dancer. Viktor attended Charlotte Ballet Academy’s five-week summer intensive, on Scholarship, and has participated in other prestigious programs nationwide. He loves teaching and inspiring students to nurture their passion for dance; and he looks forward to traveling and performing all over the world, keeping dance a big part of his life.
Viktor joined JDT's faculty in 2021, teaching advanced contemporary for Levels 4-6; and choreographed several original works for JDT’s 2021-2022 season, including New Season, for its 2022 Spring Showcase.
