Born in Donetsk, Ukraine, Anton Kandaurov is a graduate of the Kiev State College of Choreography and was an award winner of the international competition “Youth Ballet 2002”. Kandaurov continued his studies at the HochShule fúr Musik und Theater in Zurich. His professional engagements began with the Croatian National Ballet, then the Kiev National Opera House Ballet. He was a soloist with the Kiev City Academic Theater and the Moscow Ballet Company which toured frequently. In 2008, Kandaurov became a member of Grand Rapids Ballet Company, where he created the wonderful role of Sebastian of Shakespeare’s Tempest. His rich repertoire includes the 19th century classics as well as neo classical works such as Balanchine's "Who Cares". Anton was a principal dancer with Connecticut Ballet where he danced all principal roles in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, as well as duets from Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake, Giselle, Carmen Suite etc. Anton is the current Artistic Director of ChamberSquared Dance Project, and a guest artist with numerous ballet companies around the country.
