Designed for children ages 3-5 years old, this class inspires children to express themselves through dance. Students will be free to explore their unique style of movement in a structured environment that incorporates music, literature, poetry and props.
This class is designed for 4-6 year-olds, introducing dancers to the fundamental concepts of ballet: rhythm, tempo, and time. Students will practice moving to the beat, exploring fast and slow tempos, and counting music through fun activities, games, and basic ballet steps.
Pre-Ballet introduces children ages 5-7 years old to the fundamentals of classical ballet technique. Curriculum focuses on basic positions and vocabulary, while encouraging proper alignment and use of épaulement (angling of the shoulders, neck and head). Students develop confidence, strength and control of their muscles as they learn the progression of a ballet class.

Level 2 emphasizes technical development and presentation. The class focuses on placement, clarity of movement, strength building, and increased flexibility. Students spend more time away from the barre and start working on adagio, pirouettes and jumps. Current JDT Level 2 students, new students ages 8+ with beginning level ballet experience, or by Instructor placement.
Level 3 works to incorporate more complex combinations at the barre and in center.
