Anouk Otsea

Guest Faculty - 2020 Summer Intensive; Intermediate and Advanced Contemporary

At the age of three, Anouk began studying dance at Juneau Dance Theatre, formerly known as Juneau Dance Unlimited, where she trained in ballet, jazz, theater dance, and hip hop under the directorship of Janice Hurley, Philip Krauter, and Ricci Adan, among others. During her thirteen years at JDT, Anouk spent summers studying at the Joffrey Ballet School, Houston Ballet Academy, as well as the Boston Ballet School. After leaving Juneau, Anouk went on to graduate from Walnut Hill School for the Arts, under the direction of Michael Owen, and later the LINES Ballet BFA Program led by Marina Hotchkiss. Anouk has found great passion in utilizing her classical foundation to explore and research the infinite realms of contemporary dance. In addition to her four years at LINES Ballet, Anouk has trained with companies such as Northwest Dance Project, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Batsheva Dance Company, GALLIM Dance, and BODYTRAFFIC. Anouk is delighted to return to JDT and share her passion for dance with the Juneau community!
