Bridget Lujan earned a BFA in Theatre from Niagara University, in New York, and has a deep connection to the arts in Juneau which includes performing with Perseverance Theatre, Juneau Lyric Opera and Juneau Douglas Little Theatre. She is a past trustee and treasurer for the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council and a long-time member and past president of the Rotary Club of Juneau.
In the late 1990s, Bridget was an instructor for Juneau Dance Theatre (Unlimited) before volunteering in various capacities for the organization. She has been involved with fund development committee, served as costume coordinator for JDT productions and served as a board member and a member of the executive committee since 2014. In 2018, Bridget stepped down as board treasurer to accept the position as JDT's Executive Director. She leads JDT alongside Artistic Director, Zachary Hench, and is responsible for daily business operations, including management of assets, finance, public relations, and administrative staffing.
Bridget is a licensed CPA who specializes in tax planning and preparation, and business consulting. Throughout her career Bridget has gained expertise in accounting and compliance in the private and non-profit sectors. In 2018, Bridget started her own accounting firm, Bridget Lujan, CPA (formerly R. Daniel MacLeod, CPA). Prior to joining Mr. MacLeod in 2014, she was with Elgee Rehfeld CPA's, for 18 years where she developed strong communication and analytic skills, and excelled at advising on organizational operations.
